Neo-Grotesk sans serif typeface called Calibre. The typeface was inspired by street signs in West Berlin. The letterforms are simple and attractive. By using typographic principles of optical correction, the geometric inclinations are taken into account during the font’s design. Nebiolo’s Recta serves as the inspiration for Calibre’s logic. It has a modern and clean finish because of this. Caliber and Metric were created together. The letterforms of the two typefaces have different finishes but share a similar basic geometry.

Kris Sowersby, a New Zealand-based type designer, published the typeface in 2011. In 2003, Kris Sowersby received his degree from the Wanganui School of Design. He worked as a graphic designer for a short time before founding the Klim Type Foundry in 2005 with engineers Noe Blanco and Chester Jenkins. Version 1.002, PS 001.001, Hotconv 1.0.57, and Makeotf.lib2.0.21895 are all compatible with the typeface. The typeface, however, does not support Cyrillic. But Latin is supported. Additionally, the Colfax typeface and this font are comparable.
